Diversions! Only for for an hour but had to make on the fly course correction and updated flight planning. Beautiful across southwest Alberta today... today's picture is my actual flight map.
....and first 3 hour flight completed. Okotoks to Drumheller to Red Deer and back. Wow. I was quite sketchy at first but I got the hang of it. The last leg I felt like a pro, yet my final landing was the worst. bah. This trip was with my CFI.
Off to Vulcan tomorrow maybe.
Then I do x-country flights solo. Soooo excited.
It's been a month since I've flown but I squeezed in an hour of touch and gos today, in a very busy circuit. There were three of us just doing t&g and a few others departing. It was awesome and I nailed at least 2 of my landings, "greasers" as it were.
Then it was an hour with my instructor planning for our 3 hour trip on Saturday. Okotoks to Drumheller to Red Deer and back. I have homework as he only helped with planning the first leg, I have to do the rest. I hope the weather cooperates.
After this weekend, I will be doing the longer flights alone as I venture to other airports in a prescribed manner. I really want my license this summer.
