With the airport on our right, and at 1000' AGL, he pulls full idle, makes the radio call, and immediately heads toward the runway. Beautiful landing, touch and go, and on the climb I regain control.
THEN IT WAS MY TURN. 1st go at the simulated engine failure. What?!? I was a bit high coming in, so Mike suggested the forward slip. So I've got no engine, on a slight bank, and in a good slip - and I nailed it. Flaps up, carb heat off, full power, and off we go again for a few more touch and gos.
Did I mention that I LOVE FLYING!!!!!!
